TEST ENGINEER (Equipment Division)

Reporting to:
Test Manager - Equipment Division

Main Duties:
To carry out low and high voltage testing on TMD manufactured Power supplies and RF Testing on Travelling Wave Tube Amplifiers (TWTA's)

1. Test Switch Mode Power supplies having output voltages of up to 35kV

2. Test to both commercial and military specifications as required

3. Carry out RF testing on S, C, X, Ku and millimetric band TWT’s.

4. Carry out tests on TWTSs using oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analysers, RF Power Meters, RF Signal Generators, Pulse Generators etc.

5. Carry out Environmental Stress Screening Tests, including vibration, altitude and operational temperature cycling.

6. Ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with documented processes, specifications and quality requirements

7. Maintain adequate work records

8. Ensure that all manufacturing related activities conform to Health and Safety requirements.

9. Ensure that working areas, plant, tools and test equipment are kept tidy, safe, maintained and calibrated

10. To comply with the Company Policy on Health & Safety

11. To undertake any other related tasks that may be reasonably requested.

Qualifications:
HNC in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or Equivalent

Experience:
RF / High Voltage / Switch Mode Power Supply work Experience / Mechanical skills

Desirable & other qualities:
Mechanical Engineering / RF qualifications
Good knowledge of Word and Excel
